Schuur

When I was in college, my roommate shared a nugget of wisdom with me. He told me (quite seriously), "You've got to put down the ducky if you want to play the saxophone." While I appreciated the sentiment, I vehemently denied my inability to do both at the same time. Thus I have, up to this point in my life, maintained an unjustifiable number of interests.

I work as a nurse in an intensive care unit, my wife and I are remodeling a first home, we are gardeners and pseudo-hippies, and I enjoy cooking. My wife plays the piano, is learning accordion, and I think we had a clarinet for a while. I play guitar, bass, and enjoy recording music when I get the chance. My friends and I like to think of ourselves as Renaissance men, but really we are jacks-of-all-trades.

One thing that my wife and I share is a love of the written word. We have both thrown around the idea of trying to write more, and this is our first step. Whatever comes out of it I hope is enjoyed, and at the very least, we hope not to waste anyone's time.
